A lot of authors are not even aware here on videohive that pre-rendered Element 3D is not allowed. I see a lot of Element 3D, pre rendered projects. One author in comment section of his project answers the question “is this element 3d”, “yes, it is”. Can envato make at least a sticky thread to warn the authors about this? I mean, I wouldn’t have anything against this, but if we don’t do it, then the rules should apply for everyone. It’s not a fair competition!

I’m absolutely agree with you EFEKT ! A few month ago, I’ve immediately deleted from marketplace my Element 3d pre-rendered project when I heard it was forbidden… And today I’m seeing a lot of E3D pre renders here !

Envato should do something for that, like :

- Ask a question about Element 3D into the author quizz
- Or to make a little note into the top of the upload page who sum up the main rules of videohive

Another eternal question, someone in the staff knows more about a date for accept Element 3D Project templates ?

Why is it taking so long to allow Element 3D? It has been over 3 months now :)

I think Envato’s guys and Andrew Kramer have a lot of work, that’s not a high priority… Making transparancy and strict rules to upload Element 3D templates isn’t easy at all

Its not so easy to confirm a project that its been done with Element 3D. Cause you can get similar results with most of the 3d Softwares.

unfortunately envato can’t police every file that is uploaded…

just like it can’t police websites that link to illegal downloads of our own files…. just like it can’t police sample images or footage to make sure it is not in violation…

If you see something wrong with another file, contact support and hopefully support will do something… I have submitted complaints in the past on misused files in placeholders and unfortunately envato doesn’t seem to contact the author or delete the file unless the original creator contact them with a DMCA notice. So start contacting Andrew

I don’t see valid reason why elements 3D is not allowed here. I agree with videocopilot’s rules that we can’t upload prerendered E3D stuffs. But why we can’t upload ae projects with used E3D ? If buyer don’t have it, he will buy it – it’s benefit for VC. Videohive will have more items (most probably good 3d ae projects) – it’s benefit for envato. What is the problem than?

I think the valid reason is about models and materials. MR Kramer don’t want (and it’s normal) that people sell their work with his models and materials. (If I remenber) In the license’s rules, he accepts we sale templates with our own models and materials. In this way it will be tricky for a reviewer to detect if models and materials (mostly materials) come from VideoCopilot’s bundles are if they are created by the author.
