Looks like they took the link
Now seriously the buyers are going to think that non-elite means not good enough, no link on icon means they are not going to easily find out what it actually means to be elite ..
At least put a read more … link ??

I think this link should be on the profile page of every elite author and elite should be changed to top seller/best seller/high seller.
- Exclusive Author
- Sold between 100 000 and 250 000 dollars
- Won a Competition
- Author was Featured
- Has been a member for 5-6 years
- Repeatedly Helped protect Envato Marketplaces against copyright violations
- Microlancer Beta Tester
- Author had a File in an Envato Bundle
I think we should close down the marketplace… really, all this kind of improvements leads nowhere.. let’s go back to 2007, where it all was calm and easy..
LOL .
One thing I know for sure, we’re all complaining all the time… but the truth is that we kind of progressing all the time, in a good way. Cheers everybody.
Do you guys feel you’re getting more sales after getting the elite badge (I’m not talking about the box on the item page)?

- Item was Featured
- Bought between 50 and 99 items
- Referred between 1000 and 1999 users
- Has been a member for 3-4 years
- Repeatedly Helped protect Envato Marketplaces against copyright violations

My take is that an elite badge is going to help build customer confidence on new items with very few sales. For established items, I don’t think it makes much of a difference, as customers are going to judge the product itself based on ratings and sales.
Also, regarding the link/no link debate, I think there should just be a tooltip explaining what “Elite” means when you hover over the Elite icon/badge. No driving traffic away from the page, but still answers the question. Seems like a more elegant solution anyway.

I find it a bit pretentious – “I make more money than everyone else, buy from me!”.
Greed fills Envato, as usual.
As always Envato not giving a toss about us other authors who actually don’t make $100000 a month. Seriously why not try to promote authors who find it harder to make money, then increase the guys who already have made a fortune make even more. I guess it’s because Envato profits from Elite authors more…
I personally would NOT want anything to do with the elite program if I qualified to be an elite author, simply because I don’t like to show off my earnings and would rather be releasing quality items than thinking about money.
