I know I just posted a plug, but I have got to say, iPage are very, very good.

I used them before setting up my own infrastructure. And as much as I hate to admit it, I cannot beat their quality or prices :(

Good luck with your search! :)

Quite interested in an IPAGE and Godaddy combination.

Try contacting ipage via their live chat. They can further assist you, solving any doubts you might have. Indeed since they are a hosting company, it would be great to use a registrar service. i use name.com, but godaddy must be equal or even better. Good luck with your decision :D

Ps. Sending you an email.

There is not such thing as unlimited. This is a heated term in the hosting industry.
Correct, however.. Feel free to buy the unlimited plan and use up as much space as you can. I can guarantee you you’ll have so much space, you’ll never come close to filling our servers up. We don’t have Dual Trays of 12TB drives for any reason! We actually encourage you to USE AS MUCH SPACE as possible, we pay every month for it. So it’s only going to waste. :)

ok so I have a website that pushes around 3500GB of bandwidth/month. You are saying I could host my files there and you wouldn’t complain?

Technically, yes you can.. However, I can guarantee.. You’re site ain’t going to be very fast at all! What must you be pushing 3500GB of bandwidth/month anyways? You’d figure if you have that much bandwidth you MUST be making enough money to afford an dedicated server that’s mandatory to host if you want a quality viewed website, but yeah.. Majority don’t use Shared Hosting cause 3.5TB is too much to handle on such a small portioned shared account, if one did.. Quality would DEFINITELY not be as great, in fact very slow and these lines are coming from SoftLayers infrastructure!

However, yes you could still host with us. :)

Hi all,

I am looking for a provider where I can “host” just my email addresses. e.g. myemail@domain.com

I need to register the domain and then have 10+ mailboxes (IMAP and POP3 needed + an online interface)

If webhosting is included in a cheaper bundle then I guess it’s a bonus. Has anyone got any ideas?

I have been searching for weeks, but cannot find any suitable deals.

Regards
Why not use google apps?

+1 Google Apps Standard Edition is not only Free, but awesome. Haven’t found anything easier, better or more reliable. Not to mention you have many other apps already integrated like calendar, docs, chat, sites, etc. Throw up some custom subdomains for each service (mail.mydomain.com, docs.mydomain.com, cal.mydomain.com) and you have a full suite of awesome.

I like Google Apps Standard Edition. So I would just buy the domain and NO hosting?

If your registrar provides setting up MX records (as most do), then yeah, you only need a domain :)

Thank you for everyone’s help! I think I am going with Google Apps and GoDaddy. Cheaper as I do not need the whole IPAGE package. Thanks :)
