thats normal for WordPress as you don’t have any post/content to populate the database you will need to add some via the WordPress admin panel..
check out the themes documentation on how to set up the theme to look like the demo

I am sure there is a ‘dummy_data.xml’ which you can import to get the look that is in the preview. You can check the documentation that has come with the template on how to import it.
