We are also experiencing issues with the API. The response seems to take a while to return from TF.

I can fetch on local but server back “Could not retrieve data.”
From what I read in another thread, it’s related to the DDoS protection that was enabled in response to the site going down last week. It has the effect of longer response times and higher rates of failed attempts? I don’t recall the specifics. I would rather the site not crash as opposed to the API working perfect, but it would be nice if we didn’t have to pick between the two.
I was developing an item widget for wordpress and noticed this issue when my dev site died, I guess it reminded me to add something to check if the api is working! haha
An API status page would be nice, kinda like what they have on twitter, so we aren’t all running around like headless chickens when the api has problems.https://dev.twitter.com/status

Well, I guess like other APIs, in case that any suspicious abuse is detected, the ip will be blocked. Maybe too many requests or something similar?
