Since I am a senior in high school, I have been spending a lot of time searching for college scholarships which led me to wonder whether Envato had a creative scholarship opportunity for students. As far as I know Envato does not offer scholarships which is why I want to propose that we start a scholarship program!

It’s important that future generations of designers are well educated so they can keep innovating and evolving digital media. This scholarship(s) could be awarded to creative students looking to study relevant subjects in college. I was also thinking that the scholarship could be funded by not only the company but the authors as well, if they chose to do so.

Those are some of the ideas I have right now, and I don’t think organizing this would be very difficult at all. I and many others love giving back to the community and I think this would be a great way for the Envato community to do just that!

What do you guys think?

Isn’t the Envato itself the scholarship?

I mean, if you are good at what you are doing, you will be able to sell it.

I earn here more than enough to pay for my monthly expenses, but I am guessing that some other countries are more expensive.

Nice idea, but I think it would be hard to choose between candidates just because there are so many awesome artists out there :D. Another idea is to organize competitions more frequently, this can help attract more artists to the Marketplace, and can also give them finance support.

The upload button took like 5 years.

A flyer review like 21 days.

A scholarship program by envato, maybe after Shark 16 or Harry Potter 20

Considering Envato’s mission is to help people earn and learn online, this would be something pretty awesome if they could put it together.

Like an Open University type thing, maybe.

They have mammoth amounts of content on their Tuts+ sites, being able to receive a real-world qualification as a result of learning it would be pretty sweet!
