Btw, a question for the most advanced runners here, how’s better to improve the distance one can run? Running as much as possible, with pauses(fast walking when I can’t run anymore) or to just run as much as I can, without walking? And, how many times do you run a week?

I’m not a pro runner, but one of the things I wish I’d done from the start was finding my running form. I started off with heel striking and this worked for a while until I couldn’t run anymore. I ended up injuring my knee. I thought it was a problem with my shoes and got new ones, still felt the injury and couldn’t run :P

This went on for a while, during which I’d walk instead of run. I later changed my form to forefoot running. This wasn’t easy at all to adapt to but I have not had any issues since other than initially breaking my toe nails (surprisingly didn’t hurt and I noticed this by accident :D ), my toes would swell sometimes and get blistered etc. All good now ^^

I discovered that when heel striking, i.e. landing on my heels, I’d take all the impact in my knee. This does not happen when I land on my forefoot, I feel the impact in my calf muscle. So my advice for you is to find your running form. If your feeling injury in your knee, hips etc, look into your form. Good luck!

Edit: forgot to add, don’t listen to music when running! It’s a huge distraction and I fell into a ditch fracturing 4 fingers! Lesson learned :P

haha not evil at all. My only concern that day was if someone saw me because I landed on my face. It was bleeding and all I could think of was plastic surgery on the way back. Turned out a small little tiny cut on my lip :P
