@heshan: What you’re describing is how Flash games are made. IMO It’s a much better system than a sprite sheet, but it’s not a sprite sheet.

I just bought http://graphicriver.net/item/2d-game-tileset/93508 to see how it’s built and it seems you need a PSD with each animation sequence (walk, jump, attack) on a separate layer.

Thank you for your reply brother…. Flash is one of the perfect game design tools as i think….. I designed a sprite sheet for such a game which uses a spriteee sheet with parts of the character and environment parts it self and uploaded to see what happens…..

I’m just curious though, since this was posted before the weekend, no reviewing takes place during weekends, my file has been in the queue for 3 days going on 4 and it’s “almost” there (as in got about 10% left, although it didn’t move an inch for + – 14 hours), when did you submit your file majd_abdul, if it was accepted 2 days ago? (i.e: 5 days into the opening of the contest, two out of which are weekend days). No mean intentions, just still curious about how the queue works…

@contrastblack: I first saw the competition thread about an hour after it went live, so I decided to whip up a file from one of my Flash games quickly. Based on my PC Date Modified I finished the file on 17/11/12 2:58 (in the morning :D), and I got the approved message on 20/11/12 1:29, so it was 4 days.

I guess I just got lucky because I submitted 2 files at the same time and one of them is currently held by the review team. There’s no way really to know how long it’ll take.
