Files We’re Looking For:

Retina Ready User Interfaces suitable for Apple iOS. “Standard” files should be in 72ppi format but to create a Retina display version you need to double the pixel size of the “standard” version. For example, if your “standard” element size is 300×100 pixels, the Retina version should be 600×200 pixels. You may include the “standard” version with your submission but we are specifically looking for full User Interface layouts or collections that are double (x2) the size of “standard” dimensions. 326ppi versions may be included if you wish, simply state what formats are included in your item description. Here are some examples of existing items that we are looking for:

File/Contest Requirements:

  • Multiple submissions from the same author must all be different to one another.
  • Normal GraphicRiver upload instructions apply
  • You MUST mark/select your item as “Yes” for “Retina Display Ready” on the Upload Form.
  • By entering this contest, you MUST sign and agree to keep any WINNING entries online for a minimum of 2 years: http://www.formstack.com/forms/envato-envatos_most_wanted_entry_agreement See form for full details. This form MUST be completed once your item has been APPROVED on GraphicRiver if you wish your item(s) to be eligible for Envato’s Most Wanted
  • DO NOT post submissions to this thread. We will be keeping an eye on the category instead to see submissions.

Where Files Should be Submitted:

Web Elements > User Interfaces

Simple Summary of How To Enter

  1. Read our full Terms & Conditions
  2. Submit your item to the User Interfaces category on GraphicRiver.
  3. You MUST mark/select your item as “Yes” for “Retina Display Ready” on the Upload Form.
  4. Complete the authorization form once your item has been approved. This form MUST be completed. Please take care entering your payment details! If I may, regarding PPI ’s and iOS: you should always use 72PPI and not requesting 326PPI files.

More infos here, talented Marc Edwards explains why: http://bjango.com/articles/designingforretina2/

Also, why uploading mobile interface elements in a … Web Elements category?

Cheers !

I’ve read the same advice before. Design at 72ppi and create x2 larger sizes for retina.
