Guess that would be me working on the demo currently… Just want to confirm 1 thing, we do have to get our entries approved before 5th. Is the approval queue different for Buddypress items ? I have heard that the approval process is quite slow these days.
Will try it also here: http://themeforest.net/item/yaaburnee-magazine-ecommerce-theme/6662982
Anyone else experiencing an issue that all BuddyPress pages show blank when using the bbPress plugin (as in activating it)? We’re about to submit our theme but have spent hours debugging this and found no solution so far. Maybe you’ve got through this and could give us a hint for it?
NuminaThemes I didn’t have that problem but I understood that bbPress plugin is already built in BuddyPress plugin so if it is so why would both plugins should be used? If someone knows about this please explain.
That’s not really true, bbPress’ functionality is not included in the BuddyPress. (They are meant for different things).
And while searching over the internet to figure this out, we’ve noticed that a lot of people came up with this bug, seems to be a core bug. It only happens with the latest versions of BP (1.9.1) and bbPress (2.5.3). Reverting to BP 1.8 works but we’d like to have it working for the latest versions and man, the time is flying, we really hope that we can figure out a fix for this!
EDIT: If we disable bbPress, everything works just fine. It only happens for the BP pages, the rest of the theme is working just fine and so is the backend.
Hi Numina. What specific error are you getting? You could try printing out all the all errors to determine which one is causing the issue or you can read your error logs. I was able to integrate bbpress and buddypress with out any problems.
Although we have all debugging stuff enabled, it outputs no error / notice / warning whatsoever at all (even the log file is empty) but rather all BuddyPress pages go white (blank). bbPress works just fine though. If we disable bbPress, BuddyPress just goes to normal!
in your wp-config file, before everything, please try pasting the code below:
error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set(‘display_errors’, 1);
or in your php.ini
display_errors = on
That will display the errors. It should print errors.
We do have all these enabled in our development environment, but it really outputs no errors at all!
We also have these on it:
define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true); define(‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true); define(‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, true); define(‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true); define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’ );
So, our guess is the debugging is just fine but it outputs nothing at all!
