I thought the new marketplace would be something with apps, images, games or some other cool stuff, but this tuts+ marketplace has a bad taste for me.
It’s not the end of the world, let this marketplace grow to it’s potential and see. I am sure there will be more marketplaces so don’t give up your hopes

I think the name Tutorials is just too basic, and doesn’t fit the theme of all the other marketplaces, they are all names related to the environment. Just my two cents

I agree with Parallelus. I can see a tutorial on “how to make shiny buttons in 3 minutes” or “how to make a professional template for WordPress” – both at a price lower than a set of interesting buttons or a professional template at themeforest. For this lower price some will buy the tutorial – which after all offers the final (featured) product PLUS the tutorial – instead of buying an item at another market at a higher price. In my opinion, the idea is irrelevant and certainly will affect the number of potential buyers at GR or TF.

I really like the idea of a paid single tutorial vs the recurring subscription service.

Congrats Envato! Great Idea. 
I have a few questions though: I am pretty sure these questions have been asked before. How will the new Tutorials MarketPlace compare to TutsPlus? Will there be the same tutorials as Tuts Plus? Will anything change at Tutsplus because of this marketplace? Also, will we get a Tutorials badge if we upload a tutorial on The Tutorials MarketPlace?

I like the idea and all, but I think the colors should have been different. We already have 3 other marketplaces that look similar.

Hate to be negative Nelly, but I just don’t think it is a a great addition, I don’t think it will be very popular and I think the piracy would be just as worse or worser as it is with all the other marketplaces. and on average $2 (@40%) for a tutorial that took me 5 days to make isn’t quite worth the time in my books.
