Hey guys, I’ll be buying a tablet soon, but I need you expert advices on which one to pick up.

The opponents are: Bamboo Pen and Bamboo Fun.

Differences (taken from the official comparison chart) :

Touch Functionality:
Pen: No
Fun: Yes

Pressure Levels:
Pen: 512
Fun: 1024

ExpressKeys:
Pen: No
Fun: Yes

Photoshop Elements:
Pen: No
Fun: Yes

Stylus Eraser:
Pen: No!!!
Fun: Yes

Price:
Pen: £39.99
Fun: £71.87

I also noticed the Bamboo Pen and its stylus weight less – so does it worth saving a few bucks, or should I go for the Bamboo Fun?

Thanks for reading!

Personally, I would recommend an Intuos http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/Intuos.aspx I have used them for years and would have a very hard time moving away from them.

If I was choosing between the two you compared, I would choose the Fun. You will never miss a few extra bucks a few years from now when you are still enjoying the tablet and it has completely changed the way you work. :)

+1 for Wacom Intuos! Using it for a couple of years now, it’s a great product!

I am saving too much things already and I don’t really need a tablet that much. It’s just that I have some forthright logo projects and I need something really basic to help me sketch.
Thanks.

Sketch on a notepad with a pen. The basic tablets aren’t that good and you will end up not using it that much, or at all :) If you need/want a tablet, get an Intuos.

Sketch on a notepad with a pen.

I do that always. :D But clients kinda want the sketch on a computer, dunno why. :impatient:

I decided to get a Bamboo Fun this week, thank to OhmLab for the on-topic post!
Reporting my first post now, to get this thread locked, as it doesn’t get even close to Pen vs. Fun discussion and users obviously can’t read titles.
Thanks.
