I just bought the MayaShop theme, and I’m trying to install it. I go to the dashboard and upload the maya.zip file there, but this results in the error “Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.”
I checked the compatibility, which matches. I don’t know how to upload via FTP (my website is hosted by Afrihost). Does anyone have tips for me how to resolve this problem?
Hello! Interesting name you got there
and scroll to “Common ‘Broken Theme’ and ‘Stylesheet Missing’ WordPress Issues”
Haha, it’s just my brand name, nothing more.
I get stuck at “Using an FTP client, upload ONLY the theme folder to your “wp-content/themes” folder.” What does it mean? People are probably going to laugh at me, but I’m not sure what a ‘FTP client’ is. Is that also what Afrihost is?
An FTP client is a program on your computer (such as Filezilla) that can connect to your host (Afrihost) by giving your username and password etc so you can upload files through that program onto your host!
If you do not know what this is you should probably just use the wordpress admin panel to upload your theme.
Check your downloads page on Themeforest and make sure you download the right package (e.g. the installable WordPress theme).
I understand, because I had a look at Afrihost, and there were FTP folders, but no option to upload anything, and no file named ‘wp-content/themes’.
And that’s the whole point, it doesn’t work through the Wordpress panel. I also double-checked the file, and it is the right file.. but I just wonder why it does not work via the panel.
You uploaded the zip file with this structure?:
“Themename” -index.php -style.css -footer.php -header.php etc…
