I am a new-comer to eshop platforms. I need to setup an eshop for fashion accessories. Which platform is easy to setup and then user/maintain? I already see Magento but I feel it is too complex for a beginner. On the other hand WooCommerce may be limited in some things (as its not a eshop platform but a plugin). What you believe/suggest?

As a WooCommerce developer I suggest you WooCommerce. It’s great for beginner and medium sized shops.

Wordpress commerce can handle most of what you will need but it depends on the type of site you want to incorporate it to i.e. is it a site with commerce or a dedicated shopping site, and the functionality you require within the shop.

We tend to point our newbie clients who want to manage it all themselves to Shopify or WP commerce

Very true but most likely that is because it is not as advanced as Magento etc, there are more WP developers out there than shopify programmers and it is also a paid service BUT in turn it is super easy to manage and takes care of all of the payment stuff properly.

WP is probably best for you as it is definitely not short on features, extras etc and is far more user friendly for beginners than the likes of Prestashop or Magento
