Hi Everyone,

Newbie here. I am looking to start microstock as a way to share some of my better images with the world and hopefully make a little money with it. Nothing huge, just a bit of side cash if I’m lucky, without the hassle of tracking a whole bunch of sites all together. Ugh. :P

To that end, I'm looking for a place to sell exclusively at where I get a good rate. PhotoDune seems to fit that to a T.

However, I’m the type that likes to think ahead and I wondered…what happens if my images become very popular? Might there be a point later on down the road where I’d want to branch out into other microstock sites? I don’t know right now, but what if…?

So I wanted to ask, is it possible to change your exclusivity setting later on? Or is your account locked into that first choice? What about individual images? If I have an image that goes gangbusters, would I have the option of making just that image non-exclusive down the road?

Hi Cuzsis

Yes, you can change from exclusive to non_exclusive in your ‘settings/exclusivity of your items’ part of your profile. Alternitively, you could have two profiles as a I do, one for exclusive items and one for items that you also sell elsewhere.

I’m just trying out at selling in a few other places and have had mixed resilts so far. Good luck with sales!

I’m not sure exclusive at PhotoDune is a good idea… :D

@JRChild: Awesome thank you!

@pzUH: I’m just trying to keep things simple right now, I don’t want to have to be bouncing between sites and uploading a bunch of pictures and trying to keep track of it all. I’m pretty busy with my job and family, so I thought’d I’d start with just one site. Sounds like if it takes off I can change it up and that’s all I’m looking for! :)
