Not that I know of! I just figured it´s something anyone can do and decided to try it myself. Although it would be a nice feature to have instead of doing it manually, which takes a bit of time.
Sometimes, it is better to associate a specific image next to the thread instead of your avatar.
For example, Christmas, New Year´s, Birthdays, Notices and many other threads will look nicer and easier to identify.
