Hi

I am curious: can we buy an extended licence of a videohive file and then incorporate the work within a template (as video) and then include it with the file the buyer purchases?

can not find a clear answer in the wiki. help appreciated :)

Not the AE project? Just video preview?

That would be the same as you purchase project, render it and include in DVD that you’re planing to sell. That requires Extended license and Extended license gives you permission to do that.

ok, that is good news. thank you very much for your guys help!

I’m going to flag this one for staff to come by and look at. Technically speaking, you can do this kind of thing, but in the case of a 3D model, you can’t build this into an After Effects project until Element 3D projects are allowed. In which case, it would not be an integral element of the project, but a kind of bonus giveaway.

Lance?

I’m also curious about this…I was reading the license rules again and again, but still this is not clear to me. Let’s say I would like to use some of the awesome GraphicRiver designs – let’s say social icons in my AE template – not the vectors itself but just PNG made of them (so I won’t be including the “source”). 1) Is that OK with extended license? 2) Would I need an approval from the author of the vectors? 3) Could I also include the original vectors (“source”)? 4) Would I need to inform the buyer in the help file that the vectors (or PNGs) can only be used within the AE project?

I’m sorry if I’m asking something that has already been answered (somewhere else), but I’m still not sure and don’t want to break any rules.

That is my question too… Because I want to use iPhone model in the Element 3D… Can I buy Extended license of item and put it in the folder with the project, that the customer does not have to buy special 3D model of the iPhone, and do I have to say that to author of model?

Hi everyone, be sure to send your licensing questions through to Support ( http://videohive.net/support ) as this is the most efficient and effective way to help answer your questions. I’d be glad to help answer the main question here however. So the question was…

Q. Can I purchase a 3D model via an Extended Licence and include it in my AE project?

A. In a word, yes. e.g. You can purchase a 3D Model from 3DOcean via an Extended License and include it in your AE Project file that you sell on VideoHive.

For a full and complete answer, please see the following article and list of examples on Envato Notes:

Hope this helps! :)
