It’s strange, because a lot of authors here are using fancybox with their themes. I’ll ask again fancybox’s author!
a lot of people are using fancybox version 1, which is under the mit license. The author of fancy box has put version 2 off the mit license.
I’m waiting for author’s reply. Then we’ll know that redistributing fancybox 2 with premium themes is allowed or not. License on fancybox’s page isn’t described enough and may be misleading…
Hello folks, below is a part of author’s reply:
“I have made a decision that Multi Domain License covers ONE theme for resale.”
So, it means that if someone want to resale fancybox2 needs to buy Multi Domain License ($89) for each theme.
So what you are saying Vasterad is you were using it against the terms…up until now. You’re lucky the author is a cool guy!
You really should have asked before actually using it, rather then after.
That’s good news though that the author has changed his mind. Because I’ve been bugging him to allow the use of FancyBox 2 in commercial themes. Yay.
Yup, he’s cool guy, but current description on fancyBox 2 page is really misleading!
Anyway, thanks a lot WPExplorer for help in changing author’s mind.
Thanks Vasterad!
Unfortunately Fancybox2 is the real deal when you need a realy responsive and mobile friendly lightbox, but $89 for each theme is too much expensive to me.
View.js is also a very good responsive lightbox, wich is under the same license as fancybox2. Extended license is $30. http://finegoodsmarket.com/view/Wow, really good news, thanks, guys!

I’m pretty sure it’s a one time fee of $89, otherwise you would have buy a single license each time which would be unwise and costly.
Unfortunately not. $89 fee for Multi Domain License covers only one theme for resale.
