Ok first thread here on CC
First of all, I want to say hi to everybody.
Now .. I have a question.
We uploaded a file 2 weeks ago and it was the #1 sellers for 2 week straight.
Am I the only one who think it should have been featured item of the week?
I mean .. last week it was a slider with less functionnality (no inline content support) , less sales , more expensive .. what’s the deal?
I tought we would be featured this week … and no .. another file is choosen .. I don’t get it.
Maybe I’m wrong but when a file sell that good … it should be promoted, no?

Dany—
I emailed you last week about featuring your file later this month. I know you got that email, so I’m a bit confused. You continue to compare your item to someone else’s….and that has nothing to do with why we feature items.

The fact you want to featured the file later this month doesn’t change the fact that I want to know what people think about the decision of “not” featuring the most popular file of the last 2 weeks instead of featuring a similar file that doesnt sell as much and doesnt offer the same quality level.
Anyway, it’ fine.
Have a good day.

Hehehehe Dany… Nice Thread
But it’s all about waiting in line, these previous files, I guess, have already been chosen to be featured… You gotta wait your turn in line dude, no matter how good your file is, if other files have already been chosen, and your file is also chosen to be featured… It’s added to the queue

Dany – If we only featured the best selling file every week on ThemeForest, you’d complain about favoritism as well. We do our best. Your item will be featured sometime this month.

Dude, don’t be such a madman all the time
“Featured” doesn’t have to mean “Top Selling” right off the bat, according to some online mfa dictionary it means:
“Given special prominence, attention, or publicity”.
So it can be whatever item, even the one with no sales.
Plus I really think featuring won’t bring you more sales
Your file is good enough to produce sales on its own just from traffic in the slider category

AviaSlider supports inline content. It also got an image preloader included, has a lightbox pre installed and weights only 8kb packed which is 1/3 less than your slider. Thats the deal
(and I would appreciate it if you would do some research before posting random stuff about other peoples items
I don’t really know why you complain here, you’ve been an author for a long time now and you know that having a top selling item doesnt always lead to beeing featured. Neither Display nor Twicet Wordpress got feature if I remember correctly, despite the fact that each one sold more than 2k copys.
And allthough its nice getting featured and no one will ever complain when it happens: items that already are top sellers dont need the extra exposure.
I would just like to pop in and say, ddstudios has been really helpful, probably the best support I have gotten out of any envato member.
he assisted me and editing his slider to do what i want that wasnt in the docs.
thanks again, i will continue to buy your products.
