Feedback on my theme

I’m looking for some feedback on my theme. Some of my thoughts for the design was as a tumblog to make each post format to be somewhat unique and for it to be responsive, which I think works well. Also I wanted the design to be easily customisable through SASS /Compass if the user wishes, so the child themes are really easy to create different colour schemes for.

Some of my thoughts have been: do you think the design is too simple? Is the typography right? Too much or too little white space in areas? I’m looking for feedback in those areas mostly and anything else you think I may have missed.

Theres not much to give feedback on. Is it a good start? yeah. Would it get accepted here? no. Its to simple looks much more like a free theme than a premium one, not sure what direction you’re trying to go with it

Thanks! I need honest opinions. My direction I want to go is generally a focus on the content and what tumblogs are known for in a way, the different style of posts and making them resemble what they are where possible.

Apart from other improvements you should add more content to your preview theme, so buyers can see what they can get out of your theme and how they site can eventually look in the end. It will look much more complete when you add more content. Keep it up and see you on themeforest soon, good luck :)

It’s not a bad blog design. I like the use of post types and giving each a unique look but as OBM said, I’m not sure what sets it apart from a free theme and what makes it a premium theme.

issues,

Theme inconsistency… looks like crap on IE8 , not even close to what it looks like with chrome.

Typographic inconsistency… navigation is lowercase, meta info is uppercase, everything else caps first letter.

Left Sidebar Page… sidebar is beneath the page content.

Search Widget in sidebar… input box is larger than button.

Hello stevemckinney!

I like your theme. It looks nice. Something good for kids, maybe.

It’s a nice start, but you need a lot more work on it.

For example, checked it in Firefox and the sidebar is pushed down.

Keep on it!

Your theme seems to be too plain, but as everyone says, the simpler the better. Right?

Hello again!

I repeat – not bad.

But did you check how it works with Chrome?
