I don’t know if everybody noticed, but Google has shut down FeedBurner API https://developers.google.com/feedburner/?hl=en and I know many themes and plugins used that to for example get number of followers. I wonder what alternatives are there now for similar services? Or it’s just old, not needed feature and no one uses RSS anymore?

Highly doubt they’re scrapping off the API for feedburner. They’d probably release some sort of package/account which devs can purchase to have access to all those APIs they terminated recently.
