I know how bad is this, this happened to me few weeks ago. I think it would be much more better if FD notice and give us time to upload the fixation instead of disabling the file instantly!

Well it may be a “real” message, but it certainly demonstrates the “unreal” dismissive attitude of at least one Flashden reviewer. If my support staff sent out messages like that I would re-train them or, applying their own attitude to the problem, just fire them. :)

Flasher, I apologize that your file was disabled with such a vague response. I agree that it could be very hard to fix a file without being told what is wrong. Please respond to support, so they can help you with this. I’m guessing it was an honest mistake.

Understand that if a file is thought to not work, and when looked into, we find that the error is in fact an error (even if its something from our system), its much better to err on the side of caution. In this case you may be right, and the file may work properly, and its an issue with our header. But even so, they are reacting in the sense, what if the file is having an error that you are not seeing. We cannot allow people to purchase your file and have it be broken. I’m sure if you contact them, you will get a more in depth explanation, and ask them about the chances of getting your item reposted, so if its a new file you’re not losing the exposure you get from the front page.

The weird thing is that SWFAddress works perfectly :D I am currently uploading the files on my server to show Lance that they work and hopefully this will get fixed as soon as possible :)

I know it’s frustrating to have your file removed, but when a file is broken, even if it’s just a minor thing, we have to take it down. Before removing any files, we test them thoroughly to make sure they’re actually broken. Leaving broken files online is bad for everyone. It incredibly frustrating for the buyer who has to waste their time and money. It’s bad for FlashDen because we are the ones who pay for the refund and deal with the support tickets. Worst of all, it’s terrible for every author here. When a first time buyer buys a bad file, they don’t come back. If they do, they never buy from that author again. Even the best authors here make mistakes and upload something that’s not perfect. I would think everyone would be happy over the fact that we’re so vigilant about making sure every file in the library is functional. If we didn’t do that and have a strict reviewing process, could you image what a mess our library would be. That being said, if you think we made the wrong ruling, contact me and I’d be happy to take a second look.

Flasher, I can’t comment on specifics, but I did just send you an email explaining a little better what the issue was.
