I am not saying that all these big files are naff. There are a few and i am sure we know which ones that are pretty big but what they give for that size is pretty good but again the files are out of place on FD

I don’t think it’s a case of having an animation section. FD already has a category for this.

What the question is : Q. What does FD class as a flash animation?

We do have an animation section. But in order for a file to be a flash animation, it has to be an animation built with flash. Not an animation imported in flash.

Ok then some files are getting missed in the review process. i cant think of any particular files off the top of my head but i do know that i have commented and others on files that where either sequenced bitmaps or flv’s.

Most probably the post starter will know of a few else he would not have made the post to begin with.

it’s a tricky question. I work in After Effects too and sometimes export the animation i created as PNG sequence then import it to Flash. I agree that these files don’t have much to do with Flash apart being exported as SWFs but again, some customers that buy files from flashden don’t know how or even if they can make SWF animations using files from videohive. So it is a fine line.. although i’m not a fan of heavy bitmap animations on flashden especially if they are pretty simplistic Trapcode Particular renders, although i have files in my portfolio that use After Effects PNG sequences :D

it’s all about how you use them

+1 I agree, seeing these videos crop up all the time is silly. They belong on VideoHive.

Why send a Flash formatted file over to VH when VH has hardly anything to do with flash until you combine a video with a flash file? Video hive is not about flash. Its about video files. Even if a video is imported into flash as an animation or whatever, the file is still categorized as Flash.

MSFX didn;t mean that the video file should be sent embedded in flash :). Plus I have to disagree. Puttin an series of images or video in flash doesn;t mean I created a flash animation. It really doesn’t.
