It’s probably just me – I know that most designers prefer firefox…

But firefox is ugly!

When you view a site in firefox, the rendering of the text is just horrible, i FAR prefer the look and feel of websites in IE.

Is it just me? :)

Yep, it’s only you! Maybe you have cleartype off in vista.

Well i can tell you arn’t making any frends here with that statment :P

But i dont have any problems here, and i use xp, vista and windows 7.

But i think i know what the problem is, go to view->zoom-> reset

Yeah I had a feeling I might be in the minority :D

I tried the zoom reset, no joy :).

Here’s an example – perhap’s it’s a setting as someone suggested – although I’m using Windows XP:

The first is ie8, the second is FF – text looks dreadful.

Perhaps there’s a cleartype add-in or something? :)

LOL well most of use has this problem, it isnt the problem of FireFox but Envato ;) They have used a not standard font.

If that doesnt work you can always try using another browser: chrome, safari, even opera… just don’t tell us that you prefer ie. :)

Aha!

Well then I’ll stick with IE, it renders these sites better :p

I checked a few others, bbc.co.uk etc, and I get the same thing.
