Hello guys, I’m working on my first theme and ( for now ) I have a major concern:

1 – How do you choose the kind of template ? I mean, photography, corporate, technology, creative, magazine and so on.

What I see here is those “Envato’s most wanted of something” but nothing like “We’re low on hospital or bakery templates”. Ok, doesn’t need to be that specific but I think you got the idea.

I’d like to hear you.

Hey, dunno if you found an answer elsewhere – for your first template I would probably shoot somewhere in the middle. You want to appeal to potential buyers, without being too niche but not too much at the same time. As I tend to say, “A theme for everyone is a theme for no-one.”

Keep it simple, evolve it a bit before you release it on the market.

Oh thanks for the advice. I ended at the creative portfolios, they allow my creativity to play around and create something new, thats great. About your quote ‘A theme for everyone is a theme for no-one’. Great one :)

I am also working on my first theme. It’s a corporate theme.

Good luck on your first theme @rffa!
