It is wise to send 1500+ characters with flash vars to a swf object, or should i an xml file for this? I am in a situation where i could simplify my work using flashvars instead of xml but i am not sure of the results…:)

If you have the time, I would test both out and see which one works out the fastest.

Working on a wordpress plugin just in case anyone wonders..:D
Most flashers will go with Xml (I think it’s more of a clean way to go), but I think non flasher/wordpress will prefer flash vars + better (easy)CEO and less stuff to upload .
What’s faster? Xml is more reliably on the complete fire event parameters, with vars many dev` just shove it there

If it’s 15 or less I say flashvars. Especially if the majority of the vars will rarely be used. And if it’s a utility that’s to be reused in wordpress flash vars all the way.
XML for those times you need more and things like HTML text.

Working with FlashVars in WP sucks because
some clients may have auto SEO plugins installed which replaces key keywords even inside the < script > tag ( I know, it’s stupid!!! ) / some other plugin that decides to format inside the script tag / wp auto formatting = more support questions
I would go with xml if I were to write my plugin again

Well, for me if there are just simple vars I would use flashvars otherwise I would use the XML .
