No problems, I am in a similar situation myself. I agree, its pretty much a dead end, which is a shame.

It maybe worth contacting the font foundry / author to discuss though, as they could make an exception? You don’t ask, you don’t get?

Mmm… I was planning to use this very font (the free variants) on a commercial Tumblr theme. Since the files would be hosted by Tumblr and not distributed with the theme itself, I think usage would fall under “Web embedding” and only proper credit would be necessary. Distributing the font with a WordPress theme would be a different scenario, though.
