I could be blind, but #footer doesn’t seem to exist in the CSS file.

umm, lol?

The code seems pretty messy, are you sure the theme didn’t get corrupted when you uploaded it? Checked that all tags are properly closed?

Checked that all IDs and classes in the footer area are properly defined in the CSS file? Immediately I noticed there is no #bottom in the CSS file.

I’m sure there are more errors like this.

This is really easy to debug if you approach it methodically. Check for what I mentioned above and add some clear:both where necessary.

The footer doesn’t seem to have any styles and I suppose you haven’t cleared the floats (you have placed hr after the sidebar but it also doesn’t have any styles so it’s not clearing the floats).

If you use Firebug, footer has so style what so ever. But, I did write the footer style. Viewed it dozens of times.

About half way down.

And yes, my code might be a bit messy. Not a pro wordpress designer. And it’s a WIP theme. :)

The problem it is not the CSS , you have and extra (closed div) tag in your footer. Remove that to see if it works. Besides that you also have some improper use of div ids which can not be repeated in the same document. (your div id”date” it is repeated 3 or 4 times in the same document. And your sidebar is a little bit messy. You have omitted/or improper used some end tags for ul and li.

Thanks. I removed that other div, didn’t do anything.

I know I have messy sidebars. I want to remove the

  • and make it (not for links/lists, categories for example), but I can’t find that one
  • anywhere!
  • As for , I added that in there. Can’t really do without it.

Dude, first of all you don’t need all those !important declarations get rid of that and revisit your code.

For example why you have this?

    #footer { padding: 0; margin: 0 auto; clear: both !important; border-top: solid 10px #ece8d7 !important;vbackground: #ddd8c9 !important;}

Here’s an excerpt from the SmashingMagazine article CSS Specificity

Never use !important. “If you’re having specificity issues, there’s some quick ways to solve it. First, avoid !important.” “The !important declaration overrides normal declarations, but is unstructured and rarely required in an author’s style sheet.”

Your footer is there but I don’t know where :D read your code again. Good luck and have fun :P
