You should definitely look at this:
http://projectmessiah.com/x6/shop.html
Their software (used in stuff like Harry Potter movies) is on a sort of group-buy offer for $10 (standard) and $40 (pro). It’s normally $500 or $1200 for the respective versions…
HUGE no-brainer deal if you do any complex rendering or would like too – they are the full licenses to the software at that price.

My only question is what happens with your money if the goal isn’t reached?
because technically you pay in advance without getting anything in return unless the given target sales are met. Reason I’m asking this is the fact that yesterday morning the bar was filled about 50% of its current size, and by the looks of it, it’s still under 40% from the total.
Cheers
Reading the rules (http://projectmessiah.com/x6/shop.html)
“In the event the goal is not met, we will simply refund everyone.“

It’s mostly some kind of helping everyone out. Basically, if their campaign hits the spot, all the people that never could afford such software, get to have it for under 50$... hence, the more liberal approach of erasing this particular message / messages related to this issue. Since we are after all, a 3D Marketplace, it is only obvious, that it is somewhat relevant and helpful, more than damaging and inappropriate.
