Just tried uploading via FTP as usual, but it rejected my password with a box saying PhotoDune no longer accepts site passwords for FTP, but rather requires an API key.
I didn’t get this a week ago.
Is this a new thing? If so, has it been announced anywhere?
It’s also very possible that I just missed it and it’s been around for ages. Just strange that it worked fine for me last week with my standard password.

Sorry, we announced it on the Notices forum but maybe you didn’t see it – http://photodune.net/forums/thread/change-for-authors-using-ftp/83334
wow, ok. As was mentioned in that thread you pointed to, perhaps things like this should be emailed to contributors in the future. I’m sure not everyone reads the Notes forum everyday.
Thanks KingDog.

Thanks for the feedback! We could have probably announced it in the author’s dashboard, too. We also try not to do much mass email because it has the tendency to make people think we’re spammers
HA, very true.
I prefer your idea, in the Author Dashboard. Thanks again.
