i developed a theme ( using __() and _e() for strings in theme files ) but when i try to generate .po file using poedit its not generated properly. Tried various things in one way got error no files found in scanned directory. and in another its says non-ASCII value on header.php on line 111

i am implementing same as themeblvd described here http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/easiest-way-to-create-localization-pot-file-for-wordpress-theme/31997?page=2

Any alternate or way for solution ??

I usually .zip my whole theme, then upload it here: http://www.icanlocalize.com/tools/php_scanner which creates my .po then I rename that to en_GB.po, open and edit in poedit and save out both the .po/.mo

thanks for your response. i think most of us would prefer local conversion for the theme to be released. any other way or why poedit not working for me
