Hi everyone. Quick question that really bugs me, i’ve been searching the forum and google, but didn’t find anything useful.

- I’m a newbie when it comes to theme development, but i’ve been trying to read up on it for quit a while. And my main question is this:

Is it possible to use a frame work, like Genesis and customize it, and then sell it not as a child theme, but as a normal theme like the most themes here on Themeforest? What i mean is that when you look at the wordpress themes on here, they come as a parent theme, and then you can often install a child theme that you yourself can modify to you needs.

But i don’t know how to build a theme, that is a parent theme, and not a child theme that requires the the user to have Genesis installed.

Hope you can make sense of what i’m asking.

Thanks guys.
