Hello
I noticed that when you get rejected, your item is on the system but hidden.
I have an item in soft rejection which was submitted today. (9th january)
If newer items are approved on the (10th january) and my item is approved after that, does that mean my item will be displayed below theirs on the list or does every item get a chance on the top spot?

No, all the items are displayed according to the time when they get accepted. Actual date of submission doesn’t matter so don’t worry.
