Gift Certificates across all marketplaces

I would like to suggest to have gift certificates which we can purchaise and give away on our own websites to promote our items. Me personaly, i do invest a lot back into my business and in most cases investments appear as advertising costs. I feel, envato marketplace gift certificate can help people like me to keep visitors coming back to our sites where we can place also links to our items inventory with our affiliates tracking IDs. I believe this will bring many new buyers to the marketplaces.

I operate 12 websites each of them related to different branches of the web and design industry. One of the ways i use to drive traffic to my sites are the free give away items. They are mostly in form of small contests with simple tasks and i do this on regular basis on most of my sites.

Gift Certificates of the envato marketplaces would be really great. The gift certificate can be at $20 (the minimum deposite requirement). The way this can work is, we authors (or buyers) can purchaise an gift certificate using the balance in our accounts and transfer it to an account we wish to award with the certificate. This way the award winner will need to create account on envato to receive the gift and spend it on here. People we drive to envato with this method can become ongoing buyers while they get to know about the quality offered here at such low rates.

Gift Certificates are not only good for authors to use them as promotion way, but will be great also for random users and buyers, they can give it as gift to their friends.

...actually thats only the rough idea. If i must give an narrowed example of one of the ways this certificate can be used:

Lest say i have a new item…an wp theme on TF. If i believe this theme will make a lot of sales, it will be logical to spend $20 for an gift certificate as the item sales “will return this back”. I can do some sneak peek of that item on my sites and announce the gift certificate give away and state the basic rules how to apply. This turns into double promotion for me, 1st it generates me aff links andf 2nd generates new potential buyers for my item(s). Users on my site meet the basic rules and one of them get awarded the certificate and they can spend the money the way they want on envato marketplaces. Of cource the possibility of my item been purchaised with that gift certificate still exist

This of cource is only one of the ways how the gift certificate can be used for authors…there are more but i wont state them…be creative
