Try some scripts above, they are time-savers :D. We should save ourselves and our time before Envato add that function to the system :(.

I have asked for that a few times already, but unfortunately without any official statement. It is time consuming to update every single item if for example a picture with hyperlink is outdated.

Another solution is using images for announcements and stuff.. When the announcement is over, just delete the image and wait for something new to come up..

Unfortunately, the marketplaces miss a lot of basic features such as this, and we are stick with improvising in a lot of fields, not only this one :)

The main problem with having a global header and footer is that some items need a unique header and footer different to your other items. eg: a button saying “View Demo” or “Get Support” with different URL ’s to others, or maybe another custom “header item” for that particular item that is not relevant in your other items.

So a while back I made a google chrome / greasemonkey script that assists with applying a global header/footer to all your items. This is an assistant script, it will load the “header” and “footer” code into each of your items in the “edit” screen so you can preview (and adjust) each item before you click save. So you can skip applying the global header to a particular item, or you can customise it for a particular item, or you can just click save,save,save,save,etc.. and the same global header will be applied to all your items.

A little bit of a time saver if you have a few items :)

Here is the previous thread discussing this idea, with more details on how to use the extension: http://graphicriver.net/forums/thread/suggestion-item-descriptions-master-header-footer/63947?page=5#577796

So I’ve been trying this and it seems to stop working when you have more than 30 items in your portfolio, correct? Or am I doing something wrong? When I’m done with the first page of my items it says to refresh, but when I go on to my second page of items and click the “Start Applying to 30 items below” button again it goes back to item 1 instead of 31? Am I missing something or is this just the way it is?

Cheers!
