Going rate per page for staic html/css website?

Anyone care to share price ranges for freelance html/css work?

Are these things charged on a per page basis or per hours basis?

Well, the most common practice outside US is charging per project. BUT … you must be able to estimate how many hours you’d need for the project. This is the way I am working. My standard rate is 20 EUR /hour (yeah it sucks but that’s the reality in my country) but my quotes are always for the entire project. Of course there are always additional tasks not included in the main specs which you may charge for on a per hour basis.

I usually charge per hour as freelancer, around 30 $ / hour.

And I like it because from my experience some clients have a habit to come with extra requires for a project (charging per project).

20€ per hour it’s pretty fair. I’d say somewhere between 20-30€ it’s a price that keeps you bussy most of the time

I generally charge £20-25 an hour for bigger projects and £30 for smaller sites. The reason I charge less for bigger clients is I obviously know I’m innevitably going to spend longer on those and so it’s worth it.

When I started out, I massively undersold my services to the point that I can laugh about it today.

I consider myself skilled enough in most aspects of design/development. But on a scale from 1-10 I rate myself a 5 all around. If I were as talented as a lot of folks here who are 9’s and 10’s, I’d be charging 120/hr.

True to a point. But you have to be cocky (confident) to a point if you expect to succeed as a salesman. Unfortunately most designers/programmers are horrible salesmen. It’s only taken me 10 years to get better at selling lol. I’m just not afraid to ask for the money I need to live anymore. At some point you just gotta tell yourself, “Look, I’m not getting out of bed for less than xxx amount of money per hour ever again”.
