A year ago kops talked about the GLWS situation on themeforest here: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/hi-great-work-glws-comments-and-flagging/81515

It’s been a year since…- what’s up ? Is spam tolerated on Envato networks ? Should I create my own macro to post on all other author items on the whole of Themeforest ? Maybe twice a month, you know, for better exposure ?

Of course I appreciate comments, when someone looked at our stuff and said – “wow, that’s great! You spent a lot of time on that and it looks like great work! Good luck!”, but that’s hardly the case right now. I’m seeing the copy-paste messages all over the place.

I’d like to know what is the Envato policy on this ?

Norris

p.s. To authors who do it – does it even work ? It probably must because you keep doing it ?

Something like this? :D Although I agree if someone says GLWS on every single file approved, then you have to wonder why they do that exactly, or maybe they just have a lot of free time.

p.s. nice new theme GLWS ;)

Agreed, it’s annoying.

Always the same 5 – 10 people doing it.

Funniest part is that most of them have a badge that says “Bought between 1 – 9 Items”...

So “GLWS – but I ain’t buying yr stuff!!”....

Haha.

I don’t actually mind it, would like to know what harm this brings to items in your opinion?

It clutters the item comments and makes it harder to find useful info.

Hahaha, – that :D

It’s the overall experience and sense of community. The day you’re excited about your freshly approved item and eager to read & respond to comments – you get a bunch of them that you are insincere. That is no way of building / strengthening a community…

It could’ve been worse. At least they stop commenting when real clients start writing.

... or it’s because it’s second page already, I don’t know.

Hi Norris, sorry for being a little late ; just noticed this.

Firstly, please forgive me for the inconvenience, I am sorry for that, and it will never happen on one of your items again.

Also, thank you very much for opening this thread.
Because this thread also gives me the opportunity to say, “copy/paste comments are less dangerous than copy/paste designs” :)

But anyway, once again, I am really sorry if I’ve ever frustrated you.

By the way, your items are really great, and have a fantastic taste of design (I mean it).
Good luck with sales (and it comes from the heart ;) )

Kind Regards,
Bedros
