Well I really do not complain. I love technology and I am totally happy I’ve been born when I have and now I get the chance to use all these tools to help me out.

Yeah I might look stupid most of the times because I always keep forgetting stuff and use Google to help but that does not disturb me at all. :)

Also not to mention phone reminders. ;)

It actually does, in a small part, reduce your brain’s ability. I studied Psychology at college and one of the modules was a study by Maguire et al on the brains of London taxi drivers.

They looked at the hippocampus, which is the part of the brain used for shapes, spacial awareness and part of your memory. So basically, it’s essential for route planning and driving.

What they found was that those who use that area of their brains regularly (London cabbies), have significantly larger hippocampi than those who don’t, i.e those who rely on Satnav.

I get round this problem by still reading books, writing stuff that will hopefully one day be made into books, and generally learning new things all the time. I even use apostrophes when texting, the horror!
