Yeah, precisely! And I don’t think there is a common thread, or link, which can be used to bring down all the things together. All their services must be independent.
Yes. Even if 10 or 100 servers went done their service will still be available.

True to a point – they can loose a few servers – but if a data-center is offline – it does cripple their CDN because of DNS caching and edge servers.

Because of that 5 minute outage – Google lost more than half a million dollars in revenue!! I wish I had that problem!!

If this is only german traffic graph, then you need to consider time of this “accident”. It’s weekend and I doubt this much people sit around computer, they’re either partying or sleeping.
