Lately we have seen many authors a bit disappointed and frustrated with file rejections, so I here propose a way in which we, community members, can effectively contribute and help fellow authors with their rejected files. It’s easy, simple and I’m sure can be immensely helpful.
The idea is for Staff to create a “sticky” thread in the Item Discussion section of the forum where authors can upload a Before & After photo of their Rejected & Approved file.
This thread can be a visual guide, showing examples of what kind of changes were made to the rejected file in order for it to later be approved.
It could be something like this:
Rejected
Reviewer said the spacing made the text difficult to read.

Approved
I removed the underline and increased the line spacing.

I believe a Visual Guide like this can really help authors by showing some real and practical examples of how to improve aesthetics and overall execution of the items.

Really nice idea Dzinc (as always)! You’re a genius.
Everyone would benefit from this, so – what a nice idea.
I think this is a great idea and would serve to illustrate to others just what they might need to change about their rejected files!
great idea! It would benefit a lot, including me

The idea is interesting Dzinc..in fact authors can already do that.
the problem is that after an item is approved the author has no longer interest in sharing his improvements.. (unless he wants to help the community as much as you do)

Ciao Gianluca, you are absolutely correct. They way the Item Discussion section works is just fine. The suggestion is just a simple thread addition dedicated to descriptive Before/After photos only.
A quick visual reference which author’s can consult, research, and possibly learn, while they are waiting for the reviewer`s feedback.

Well, I have faith that there are many more people willing to help. Life becomes easier and much more pleasant when people realize that by helping the community, they are actually helping themselves in the process as well. Everyone wins.
Thank you all for the feedback so far.
Anyway, great idea! And very helpful for the authors.
