Who will be playing/buying it?

What do you want to see in the game?

Do you care?!

I’m most interested to see where they have set the game (which city). I think it’s time they went abroad, but they probably won’t.

I just hope the game is more ‘fun’. GTA IV had a lot of cool things and an interesting story. But, I got tired of taking my ‘friends’ to bowling, the strip club, comedy shows, etc….. Those missions were really a PITA .

They also need to make the controls better. They’re basically the same since GTA 3 , and they just don’t feel very good.

Rockstar are the best (along with Bioware) at making game ‘worlds’ come to life and then putting a story in the world. But they need to focus more on what makes a game actually fun and intuitive to play. It’s easy for most people to forget about the controls etc… because the content in the game is so good, but if they’re seeking perfection, then the actual ‘playing the game’ needs to improve.

Nice! I agree with you, GTA IV got boring really quick. It seemed like the game was really rushed and it was their first next gen title so there was probably a lot of retooling of the game mechanics involved which eats up a lot of dev time. Hopefully this time around they will have more time to hash the controls out and add new features and better missions.

Im also intrigued as to what the new city will be based on. Perhaps something futuristic like Tokyo or Hong Kong?? The multiplayer could also be greatly expanded which would be awesome, the best time I had playing the game was mucking about with friends online.

So far the best bet for a new city would be LA or DC.

Trailer came out today – it’s set in Los Angeles. My first impressions are very positive, but will be interesting to see how they’ve improved the actual ‘game’ part. Rockstar have always been amazing at creating worlds.

Here’s a link to the trailer in case you missed it.
