Hello, I don’t know if flashden knows about this yet, and I just found out today, but I’m sure all of you know about it. Grant Skinner has made gtween (i think) free to use in projects to sell on flashden. As i have looked through the site, and the library page there is no page to buy a license. It is already under the MIT License which i think means the ability to sell stock containing this class. Please confirm my assumptions.

I think it can be shipped with flashden items if it’s under MIT license.

Yep, it’s free. I used it in my file itself and it’s really easy to work with. Here is some text copied from the GTween.as class:

So yes, you can use it (if I didn’t interpret it wrong :P)

Is there something similar in AS2 ? I’m familiar with Tweener and Tweenlite but as far I know these need a licence for selling.

GTween is free, you can use it in commercial projects… so is Tweensy. I haven’t try yet but Tweensy seems to be faster and easier to use. You can not use TweenLite/Max/Group or any relate to Greensock tweening here on flashden (you can’t make money from TL/TM…)...

There are also others tween engine but i think you should use Tweensy… I also developed an engine to use in my files (i’m a bit afraid of being dependent to someone else’s code… because i can be stuck in Copyright License later when something free turns to be commercial…) but i think you guys shouldn’t use it (although it’s free and open) because it was built just to fit my needs…

anyway, here is the link (AS3 only) : http://code.google.com/p/ktween/
It was proved to be fast enough as i use it in all of my AS3 files…
