As a woman designer who uses Themeforest themes, I have always found some demos to be disrespectful to women. Today, I found this http://blog.wells.ee/guys-stop-sexualizing-women-in-your-mockups/article by Wells Riley to share with theme developer/designers in hopes you will get it. Thank you for taking the time to read these thoughts. I am still a huge fan of Themeforest but would love to see some of this change for the better.

Correct link;

EDIT: I completely agree with this article also, a few of my demos have included model shots of Women, but also of Men, and always tasteful. There’s a few themes that come through here that are definitely a bit overtly sexual

It depends which category of the theme, and of course i agree with it. should not be used sexual pictures for any type of theme.

@jr0131 Do you really think that pictures in this article are offending. If so, you should ask yourself why women sexualize themeselves ?

I have to agree with your first statement, those images in the post do not seem like a big deal. I have seen much worse on themes, so those are bad examples.

I would like to hear more behind the female psyche regarding this, though, because the analog (male models posing sexually) I do not find offensive at all.

Mellons sell. And oh dear, they do, they do.. They can transform a theme into something ground-breaking.

It happens quite often and frankly – Why not use it?

Some rather depressing replies to this thread in all honesty.
