Have you ever been featured in weekly features? Was it a success? We’re your expectations better or worse? Did you get good exposure?

I hope one day to find out personally :) but just curious.

Yes, I was the featured author on GR a few weeks (maybe a month) ago. And although I really appreciated the attention and “advertisement”, it had no effect on my sales what so ever.

I was actually really surprised by this. When I got word, that I would be featured, I thought that would definitely boost sales, and make a mark on the sales graphs. But no such luck ;-)

I was a “Featured author of the week” and I had a featured file too. Didn’t had any effect on sales in both cases so do not worry. It’s just a good feeling to be there. A good item would sell with or without this. ;)

I think you’ll get a good exposure and perhaps a slight sales increase, but don’t expect a high sales volume.

As @Koev said, it’s a really good feeling to be there

A had a weekly feature already, i think 2 month after i really started to sell.
I couldn’t say that it lifted me up in other spheres regarding the sales…. but it’s hard to tell, because i didn’t have a lot of sales experience yet. I think it helps, but maybe not as much as everyone thinks.
And most of all, it’s a great feeling to be there :)

Exactly the same for me. Weekly featuring can boost a bit the sales, but just in term of time, i mean, if the file is good you will get the same volume of sales, anyway. Also is good for followers, but nothing extraordinary.

When one of my files was featured on GR, it really boosted my sales and I was still new author then. It helped to expose me quite a bit across the web. Thus, ‘Featured File’ or ‘Featured Author’ does help a lot. If a file is good, it will sell nonetheless. But imagine if you have a featured file that has sales potential, wow it will generate both sales and heavy exposure.

Good luck Mitdralla!

I observed similar cases. Certain files with good potential can make miracles in sales after feature (probably due to lack of initial exposure). At the same time there are files that has no difference in sales even after feature. So many variables we can’t analyse!

I had a featured item in December. It definitely helped to be what would have been quite a slow month into my best yet!
