...an exclusive bundle, just with GR items? I’ve been here 4 months and if my memory serves me right, I have seen 3 or 4 (?) bundles released during this time. First one I saw was the summer birthday bundle which had items from all marketplaces and the rest were wordpress themes, the flash one now and I’m forgetting what the other one was (unless they were 3 and I’m counting wrong), but it sure wasn’t a GR bundle.
Anyway, seeing the new one today (nice banner btw) I couldn’t help thinking that once again it’s for the web development and the likes part of the marketplaces, ofcourse. And then I wondered if maybe there was anything like a Gr bundle before my time, before I joined envato, so maybe I missed it? To be honest, I’d be very surprised if there was one but hopefully I’m wrong. And if I’m right, why not a GR bundle envato? (oh, and that doesn’t mean one with just buttons, if you get my drift lol). And that question applies to all the other marketplaces I guess (apart from themeforest/activeden/codecanyon which you seem to treat with bundles over and over again), but as a GR author, I’m wondering about my home first

A Birthday Bundle 16 months ago (all marketplaces) A Birthday Bundle 4 months ago (all marketplaces) A WP Bundle 3 months ago (TF) A Flash AS3 Bundle now (AD)
...my understanding is that the market specific bundles are an experiment this year and there will be one for each of the marketplaces. So a GR one is likely to happen some time in the next 8 months I guess.
I remember a forum thread sayign exactly this btu I can’t find it…!
hope to see soon a GR only pack and it would be really great to get bundled
ganbarimasu!

Philmo saidWow, I wouldn’t have imagined that there weren’t many before I joined, I basically missed only the first one and the whole bundle thing took off after summer. Good timing lol

I dont really support this idea.
Considering that the prices are cheap, making bundles will only make buyers to expect lower prices!

+1 price are already at the right level!
Allow me to disagree Darkstar that prices are ‘at the right level’, they’re still too low. But that is another subject all together and we’ve been over it recently.
Mirtt saidHow is that? I don’t see how the bundle can affect buyer’s expectations concerning lower separate item’s price. If your local store has a limited offer, for say, a pack of 50 beers for $3, do you expect after the offer ends, to buy a single beer for 0,06cents? It’s a package, a limited offer and a bargain like season sales. It has a start and an end point, nothing more and nothing less, people don’t expect to get the products cheaper after the sales end.

me too… any author at GR can forget sales for the period a GR Bundle is up. I am for the idea some GR items to be a part of bundle that contains items of all marketplaces…but GR items alone in a bundle…please NO.
we also have to remember the previous bundles, envato stated something like: “relax guys, this is only a small season sale to celebrate the birthday, it wont make much sales at all”. And only in a few days the birthday bundle made a 6 figure number!! In other words, people who benefit from bundles are only envato them self and the authors having item in the bundle (i must say authors doesnt get much from this…only as much the full licence!!!). We (all the rest of authors) was only watching envato “shopping for bundle items” for funny full licence and making big money from this in no time while other item sales of the whole marketplaces dropped like 100%. The bundles thing is big envato game. My recommendation, think again before you scream “yes, please bundle some GR stuff”.
i bet, the recent activeden bundle is only a test, just so they see if separate marketplace bundles will work. You better start to pray this project fails regarding their expections…other wise you can expect bundles comming during the year in different periods, so that envato can make more “fast cash” to fill their bank. Trust me they know what they are doing, and this is absolutely not for your benefit as author.
