You change change elements of most themes really easily in the admin and other more specific areas can be done with relatively simple CSS changes.

Its hard there are thousands to choose from – I have no idea what it is you want.

Think of keywords that describe what you want and just search for them on the site and then select wordpress on the right to limit your search to just those themes
