I seriously can not think of any valid excuse for why this “bug” needs over six months to get fixed…. The excuse of “It’s in our queue” and “we’re working on it” just doesn’t cut it! Even if it would take months and months to resolve this with a permanent solution, at least a temporarily solution should have been in place to prevent certain authors from abusing this bug.
This pretty much sucks for authors who don’t know the trick or those who do know but refuse to screw over other authors.
And why aren’t authors who, knowingly and willingly, abuse this bug being handled properly and given an official warning? When there is some copyright issue going on, Envato jumps all over it within a matter of hours, yet certain authors are just being allowed to do something which actually hurts other members of the community.
When this issue first arose, I trusted Envato to deal with this professionally and in the best interest of the community… now, several months later it just starts to look like either they just don’t care and/or just accepted it and actually don’t plan on dealing with it.
Seriously, fix this thing for crying out loud!
Since the management already mentioned they do see the need to get this fixed, it appears the mandate is there… so if the programmers don’t have time / are not capable of handling this, perhaps hire someone who can…
