I have been trying to upload tracks today without success, but the problem has been very odd. The uploader will upload the files, and it says “saved”…but I can’t select either of the files in the sample or zip categories afterwards. I tried different computers and different browsers without any luck. I’ve created a short screen cast here so anyone can take a look: http://www.uvisionweb.com/help/help.html

I tried a couple more tests and it’s working okay for me right now. Would you mind trying one more time please and let me know if it works or not? I want to establish if it was just a temporary blip rather than a re-occuring and more substantial problem. Many thanks!
I tried a few more times and haven’t had any luck just yet. It has changed slightly however…the window where you would normally select the file after you upload it opens all the way like normal, like you could select a file, but still nothing is there and the files do not show.
Well, no one else is chiming in !
I am using Windows XP (32 bit) and Firefox 3.6.8
I have also tried with Safari, Chrome, IE and Opera however and it’s the same thing…even on different computers. I will wait until tomorrow for now.
I was finally able to upload… the only time it would accept the file, but now show it in the selection list was if the sample mp3 name had an apostrophe in it. Go figure.
I named the song “It’s a beautiful day” but it would not work unless I used “Its”.
Is this stated somewhere? I looked but could not find it anywhere….I remember something about not using special characters in the zip file, but don’t remember where I saw it. Oh well, from now on I’ll just stick with simply titles I guess.
Hey Tim, Glad to hear you figured it out. Yeah, we made this announcement recently about special characters. I still documented the issue you experienced however, some kind of better validation would be nice to alert users what the actual issue is. Thanks again for explaining the issue so well, please contact support immediately if you or anyone else experiences upload issues in the future and let us know your OS and browser name (+version numbers) so we can try to recreate the issues.
I can’t upload any tracks for the past 3 days. I’m trying with “Open Air” as the name of the track.
Using Chrome 5.0.375.127
It says something went wrong pretty much right away as I click Submit
