Hello guys,

We’ve been cooking a nice portfolio template in our spare time and just got the coding done on it today. It’s uploading as I’m writing this so I’m a bit excited to see what you guys think.

It’s been a hard decision to make a live preview available for this template, but it’s a pity not to, so after obfuscation and quite a few more protective measures in place we put it online. Unfortunately though, the obfuscation/protection screws up the template on ie6 and makes quite a bit slower than the normal one (that works perfectly on all browsers of course) so please, don’t use ie6 to preview this :D

Dark Skin Live Preview

Actual template will work just fine without javascript or flash (for sIFR) displaying the entire page at once or html text instead of the cool sIFR generated text.

I’ll let you guys discover the rest, all feedback is of course welcome, that’s the point of this thread.

We’re hoping TF will feature this if they think it’s good enough and why not, maybe it will be one of the 10 chosen as winners for the contest :)

PS : Don’t worry, I won’t make a habit of this “what you think” stuff, I’m just curious on this one though, we don’t usually build js animated sites.

No, it’s fine if it’s in the Item discussion section :)

It’s all good. the thread is moved.

Oxylus, your work is impressive as always ! ;)

Edit : Hmm it seems the Item discussion section on TF does not behave the same way that it does on FD. It’s not supposed to remain on the front page. Will let the self-promo slide here, as long as it doesnt become a habit. You guys know the drill :)

Cheers

Hmm I didn’t know that, once I start to build more I’m going to announce it and give previews and stuff also. Free advertisements!

Very nice theme! But it’s pointless protecting your source code, since Firebug decrypts it and makes it available to copy & paste.

@danharper – have fun ripping this one off, trust me, halfway through you’ll just prefer to shell out $15 and buy it :D Besides, there are some protections in place that are not apparent. You can give it a try if you have the spare time, let me know how it goes. BTW , we didn’t obfuscate&protect this one so it can’t be stolen, I know it can. The point is to make it so labour intensive and tedious that it’s not worth bothering.

Also, this is not intended as self promotion, we never do this kind of stuff. Keep in mind the item is not even online on TF yet (it’s in the queue) and there’s no link to it. No worries, I’ll not post something similar anytime soon, y’all know we’re pretty silent on the forums so please let this one slide :)

Very nice! Like danharper said, resistance is futile… lol. It’s sad but it’s true. If someone really wants to steal it, they’ll find a way. It’s the nature of the web.

Anyway, very nice template though!

resistence is not futile, we’re not french (just kidding). if you make it enough work for them not to bother, that counts as a victory.

by the way, we’re doing a couple server updates so if it doesn’t load, try again later please :)
