Does anyone know how accurate the “popular author” and “popular files” section is on the front of themeforest, cause i never see my themes/templates being displayed in there! 
Without blowing my own trumpet i have sold over a 100 themes/templates and have never been shown in there.

Well the popular files represent a timeframe of one week. So you should try to sell as much as possible in one week time. As for the popular authors the timeframe is one month.

Are you sure that you have never made into one of those lists? Your showcase theme averages out around 6.5 sales a week and at some point should have been listed.
